The Mission University Lady Patriots traveled to Fulton, Missouri, to begin play in the American Midwest Conference Tournament as the five seed. The Lady Patriots played well in set 1, as they had done during the regular season against William Woods University, edging the Lady Owls 25-22 to begin the match. After the Lady Patriots took an early 7-3 lead to begin the match, the Lady Owls came back to tie the set 10-10. The set was tied six more times before MU managed to score the last four points to win it.
Summer Kenney had a strong first set as she led the squad with 6 Kills. The Lady Patriots fell behind 6-3 to begin the second set, and though the team shaved the deficit down to one point at 14-13, the team could never get over the hump in dropping the second set 25-20. Kenney, again, led the way with 5 Kills. In the third set, the Lady Patriots took a quick 2-0 lead, but seven points later the squad trailed 5-4 and could only get as close as a tie at 14-14, before dropping the third set, 25-15. Momentum had turned in favor of the Lady Owls. The statistics showed the turnaround in the third set as Kenney led the team with just 2 Kills. The fourth set saw William Woods continue with the momentum as they took an early advantage, 5-1, pushed it to 12-5, then coasted the rest of the way in the fourth set in claiming a 25-12 win, and a 3-1 set victory over the Lady Patriots.
Ryleigh Fowler paced the attack in the final set with 2 Kills.

The Volley Patriots remain on the road next week as they participate in the NCCAA Central Regional down at College of the Ozarks. Matches begin on Tuesday, November 19, against York University at 1 pm. If the Lady patriots are victorious, they will play later that evening against Mid-America Christian University at 7 pm.
