MARSHALL, Mo. — Mission University women's volleyball fell to Missouri Valley College in four sets Wednesday night, 25-23, 23-25, 25-10, 25-18.
Mission at Missouri Valley
The Patriots opened the match with a competitive first set, recording 14 kills and hitting .222, but Missouri Valley edged Mission 25-23.
Mission responded in the second set, hitting .152 with 13 kills and taking the set 25-23 to even the match at 1-1.
Missouri Valley regained control in the third set, winning 25-10. The Vikings recorded eight kills and hit .261 in the set while Mission finished with seven kills.
The Vikings closed out the match with a 25-18 fourth-set victory.
Shelby Evans led the Patriots offensively with 14 kills while hitting .379. Maddie Rue added 11 kills and 12 assists, while Jaida Generette recorded seven kills. Abbi Street finished with six kills, and Allie Czachowski added three kills.
Addison Brizendine recorded 18 assists, while Taylor Garrison led Mission with 24 digs.
