SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Mission University women's volleyball fell to Crowley's Ridge College in three sets Friday night at W.E. Dowell Fieldhouse, 25-21, 25-17, 25-23.
Crowley's Ridge at Mission
Mission started the match strong offensively, recording nine kills with a .333 hitting percentage in the opening set. Crowley's Ridge answered with 13 kills and took the first set 25-21.
The Patriots recorded 11 kills in the second set but could not overcome the Eagles, who hit .696 with 17 kills to take the set 25-17.
Mission had its strongest offensive performance of the night in the third set, recording 14 kills and hitting .346. The Patriots pushed Crowley's Ridge throughout the set before the Eagles closed out the match with a 25-23 victory.
Shelby Evans led Mission with 15 kills while hitting .609. Abbi Street added seven kills while hitting .364, while Jaida Generette recorded five kills. Maddie Rue finished with three kills and 10 assists.
Addison Brizendine led the Patriots with 19 assists, while Taylor Garrison recorded six digs.
