Patriots Compete at Evangel Men’s Spring Invitational

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Mission University men's golf team competed March 9–10 at the Evangel Men's Spring Invitational, hosted by Evangel University at Rivercut Golf Course.

The Patriots finished 8th overall in the team standings with a three-round score of +116, competing against a field that included Evangel, Park (Mo.), Central Baptist, Crowder, Ottawa (Kan.), North Arkansas, and Crowley's Ridge.

Host Evangel captured the team title at +37, followed by Park (Mo.) at +58 and Central Baptist at +64.

Mission was led by Colby Noblitt, who posted the Patriots' lowest total score of the tournament, finishing +15 overall. Noblitt recorded rounds of +4, +6, and +5, highlighted by strong stretches across the second and third rounds.

Luke Heavin finished just behind Noblitt at +26, improving throughout the tournament with rounds of +10, +7, and +9.

Zane Malone placed third among the Patriots at +21, shooting +9, +8, and +4, including his strongest round of the tournament in the final round.

Bradyn Davis rounded out the Mission lineup with a +54 finish, improving his score by three strokes in the final round.

The Patriots will look to build on the experience gained at Rivercut as they continue their spring tournament schedule.
