Mission Takes Series at Central Baptist with Offensive Surge

Conway, Ark. – March 27-28, 2026 – Mission Baseball secured a conference series victory over Central Baptist College, bouncing back from a tough extra-innings loss to win the final two games in dominant fashion.


Pregame

Mission entered the weekend looking to build on its strong conference start, facing a key road test in Conway. With both teams near the top of the standings, the series carried early-season conference implications.


Game 1 – Central Baptist 5, Mission 4 (11 inn.)

Mission started strong, jumping out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning behind RBI efforts from Collin Miser and Kaedan Thompson.

After Central Baptist tied the game in the fifth, Mission regained the lead with runs in the sixth and seventh. Kaedan Thompson delivered an RBI single, and a sacrifice fly from Zachary Beatty made it 4-2.

Central Baptist answered in the ninth, tying the game with a two-RBI single to force extra innings.

In the 11th inning, Central Baptist walked it off with an RBI double, handing Mission a tough 5-4 loss despite an 11-hit performance.

On the mound, Trey Mulholland delivered a strong outing, going eight innings and allowing just two runs, but the Patriots couldn't hold the late lead.


Game 2 – Mission 14, Central Baptist 3

Mission responded in a big way in Game 2 with a dominant offensive performance.

After falling behind early, the Patriots erupted in the third inning. Kaedan Thompson crushed a grand slam to give Mission a 5-2 lead.

The offense kept rolling. Zachary Beatty delivered a two-RBI single in the fourth, and later added a three-run home run as part of a six-RBI day. Mission scored in five different innings, building a commanding lead.

Mason Lawson added two RBI, while Collin Miser chipped in with an RBI hit.

On the mound, Jude Tenny earned the win, allowing just two runs over six innings while striking out five.

Mission finished with 14 runs on 11 hits in a complete turnaround performance.


Game 3 – Mission 12, Central Baptist 6

Mission carried its momentum into Game 3, jumping on Central Baptist early and never looking back.

The Patriots scored three runs in the first inning, highlighted by a two-RBI single from Liam Newman.

A massive third inning broke the game open. Mission plated five runs with contributions from Kadean Jacobs, Drew Vaughan, and Zachary Beatty, extending the lead to 8-0.

Mission added four more runs in the fourth, including a two-run home run from Kaedan Thompson, pushing the lead to 12-0.

Central Baptist attempted to rally with four runs in the fourth and added a couple more late, but Mission's early offense proved too much.

The Patriots totaled 13 hits and drew 11 walks in the win, showcasing patience and depth throughout the lineup.
