Mission Patriots Dominate UHSP Eutectics in Home Conference Clash

W. E. Dowell Fieldhouse, January 31, 2026 – The Mission Patriots used a balanced offensive attack and strong shooting to pull away from the UHSP Eutectics in a decisive 99-81 home victory.

Pregame:
Mission (7-13, 3-4 AMC) was looking to bounce back after a 74-99 loss at Crowley's Ridge, while UHSP (3-17, 0-7 AMC) hoped to earn its first conference win following a 68-77 setback at Central Baptist. The two teams had already met this season, with Mission eking out a 96-95 victory at UHSP.

Game Summary:
Mission opened the game with a fast start, racing to a 56-38 lead by the end of the first half. The Patriots' shooting was efficient early, with Jamarian Cato hitting 7-of-15 from the field, including 4-of-11 from beyond the arc, and Clifford Barrow connecting on 5-of-13. Justin Gill and Rayshaun Fowler contributed 7 and 8 first-half points respectively, giving Mission a balanced scoring attack that kept UHSP on its heels.

In the second half, Mission maintained its intensity despite UHSP's attempts to cut into the deficit. Jordyn Turner added 10 points in the period, while Marcell Perry came off the bench to provide 7 points and 7 rebounds. The Patriots' perimeter shooting continued to stretch the Eutectics' defense, as Mission connected on 10-of-28 from three-point range for the game. Mission also dominated the boards, collecting 37 rebounds to UHSP's 42, and forced 15 turnovers while committing 14 of their own.

Cato led the Patriots with 23 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists, while Turner added 17 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists. Barrow chipped in 13 points, and Fowler contributed 16 points with 4 steals, highlighting the team's defensive pressure. Bench production was solid as well, with Perry adding 9 points and 7 rebounds, and Taco Biggs recording 2 points and 2 rebounds in 14 minutes.
