Mission University Women's Volleyball traveled to Stephens College Wednesday evening for its AMC opener, coming up short in a 3–0 loss to the host Stars. Mission fell in straight sets, 25–11, 25–22, 25–14, moving to 3–10 overall and 0–1 in conference play. Stephens improves to 5–7 overall and 2–1 in AMC action.

The Patriots battled throughout the night but struggled to find consistency against a balanced Stars attack. Stephens dominated offensively, hitting .368 as a team and recording 41 kills, while Mission finished with 27 kills on a .041 attack percentage.
Key contributors for Mission included Shelby Evans, who led the team with 7 kills and 8 points, and Violet Kirkpatrick, who added 6 kills and 8 points. Sarah Purcell tallied 6 kills and 7 points, while Hannah Maxwell directed the offense with 21 assists and added 8 digs. Jessie Keith chipped in with 8 digs from the back row, and Allie Czachowski contributed 4.5 points on 4 kills.
Stephens' offense was led by Michalina Oles with 13 kills and 14.5 points, Amari Branch-Autman with 10 kills and 16 points, and Lena Hunziker with 10 kills and 13 points. The Stars controlled the net and applied consistent pressure on Mission's serve receive, making it difficult for the Patriots to sustain offensive runs.
Mission will return home tomorrow for a non-conference game against Haskell at 6:00 PM.
