Springfield, Missouri- The Patriots faced off against off against the #20 Central Baptist College Mustangs Thursday night in a hard-fought battle. MU would take an early 13-10 lead behind a strong start from Jaquese Thomas. The Mustangs then made a run of their own taking a 16-point lead with 4:00 minutes left in the 1st half. The Patriots bench then helped them battle back behind some much-needed buckets from Peyton Golightly and Brycen Thomas. The Patriots ended the half down 10. 

MU's defense stepped up early in the 2nd half holding the Mustangs to 0 points in the first 3 minutes of the half. The Mustangs then went on a 15-2 run to take a 69-48 lead. But the fight from Mission did not stop. Mission responded with a 12-3 run of their own. With 3 minutes left MU would only be down 6 trying to knock off the #20 Mustangs. The Patriots would battle a few rough turnovers late to end the amazing comeback hopes.

• Jaquese Thomas would lead the team in scoring with 23 points and 8 rebounds. 

• Eli'Jah Smith would follow up with 15 points and 8 rebounds.  

• Peyton Golightly would have a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds.  

• Brycen Thomas would have 11 points in only 6 minutes of gametime.
