Springfield, Missouri- Mission University hosted the 9th ranked William Woods Owls on Saturday afternoon while honoring seniors Peyton Golightly, Jacques Thomas, Kevin Sorrells Jr. Brycen Thomas, Sebastian Gahse, and Eli'jah Smith. The game would be a very physical throughout. The Owls got off to a very hot start going on a 24-2 run. Lawson Beem and Ty O'Neal would respond with back-to-back 3's to stop the run. The Patriots would get some big scoring throughout the half from Kevin Sorrells Jr. With 12 points in only 13 minutes of play and Sterling Vinson with 7 points in only 10 minutes of play. The first half would end with MU down 53-31.  

Mission University would continue to battle strong. Owls would continue to be tough to score on inside showing why they are so high in the rankings. The Patriots would have some foul trouble with Kevin Sorrells Jr. fouling out. Sterling Vinson would be a very bright spot for the Patriots in an otherwise tough shooting day. MU would keep battling but never being able to get back into it.

• Sterling Vinson would lead MU in both points and rebounds with 21 points and 4 rebounds. 

• Kevin Sorrells Jr. would follow up with 14 points on 3-5 from 3.
