Springfield, Missouri- Both halves were played at a frenetic pace. Mission University held a narrow lead at halftime over the Eutectics, 50-49, despite UHSP shooting 56 percent from the field. Unfortunately, the Eutectics continued their torrid shooting in the second half, managing to convert 64 percent of their field goal attempts, including 50 percent from beyond the arc. Though the Patriots never gave up, their shooting tailed off in the last half to just 35 percent, which made it difficult to keep pace with Ahian Barnett and the Eutectics. Barnett finished the game with 40 points.
Mission University would win the rebounding (38-35) and turnover wars (12-14), but that was not enough to compensate for the hot shooting by UHSP.
