MISSION MEN FALL ON THE ROAD AT EVANGEL

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Mission University came up short in a high-scoring matchup Tuesday night, falling 101–85 to Evangel University inside AGFinancial Arena.

FIRST HALF – EVANGEL'S HOT SHOOTING SETS THE TONE
Evangel opened the night shooting at a high level, scoring 52 points in the first half and controlling the tempo from the opening minutes. The biggest difference-maker early — and throughout the game — was Evangel's Harrison Doennig, who turned in a career night with 37 points, knocking down shots at all three levels and sparking the Valor offense. Mission battled to stay within reach, but trailed 52–38 at the break.

SECOND HALF – MISSION RESPONDS BUT CAN'T OVERCOME THE DEFICIT
Mission found much better rhythm offensively in the second half, scoring 47 points and shooting 54% after halftime. The Patriots trimmed the margin multiple times, but Doennig continued his dominant performance, and Evangel maintained its lead through consistent scoring in the paint and timely perimeter shooting.

MISSION LEADERS

  • Najee Williams paced Mission with 34 points, including 11-of-12 at the free-throw line, while adding 9 rebounds and 3 assists.

  • Clifford Barrow contributed 26 points on 10-of-21 shooting, connecting on six 3-pointers.

  • Jordyn Turner provided energy off the bench with 11 points.

TEAM NOTES

  • Mission shot an efficient 49.1% from the field and 39.3% from deep.

  • The Patriots were outscored 42–24 in the paint and 28–17 in bench points.

  • Evangel held a 34–25 rebounding edge and finished the night with 23 assists.

Mission returns to action next Wednesday, December 3, when they travel to face Missouri Baptist University.
