Mission University Men's Basketball earned a strong road victory on Wednesday night, defeating Culver-Stockton College 91–88 inside Charles Field House. The Patriots built a steady lead throughout the night and held off a late Wildcat push to secure the three-point win.
Offensive Breakthrough
Mission controlled the first half behind efficient perimeter shooting and unselfish ball movement, taking a 43–33 lead into halftime. Culver-Stockton responded with a 55-point second half, but the Patriots produced timely baskets and key defensive stops in the final minutes to close out the road win.
Key Performances
Najee Williams paced Mission with 27 points, 10 assists, and 6 rebounds in a well-rounded performance that steadied the offense throughout the night. Clifford Barrow added 29 points, knocking down seven threes, while Justin Gill delivered a 12-point, 10-rebound double-double. Sterling Vinson chipped in 11 points off the bench, giving Mission another important scoring boost.
Team Notes
Mission shot 41% from the field, 37.5% from three, and 71.4% from the free throw line, while generating 21 points off turnovers thanks to an 11–17 turnover advantage. The Patriots also collected 39 rebounds, including 11 offensive boards, improving to 2–4 overall as they continue their November stretch of non-conference play.
