Mission University men's soccer came up just short in a tightly contested home match Tuesday evening, falling 1–0 to Central Baptist College in American Midwest Conference play at Lake Country Soccer Complex.
The Mustangs netted the game's only goal in the 17th minute, when Clay Glomski finished off an assist from Hayes Lawrence. Despite outshooting CBC 9–7 and posting seven shots on goal, the Patriots were unable to find the equalizer.
How It Happened
Mission created several dangerous chances throughout the match, including two shots on goal from Nevan Lindo, who led the team's attack before being sent off late in the second half. Monthati Molomo added a pair of shots on target, and Kauan Amaro and Austin Miller each contributed one.
Defensively, goalkeeper Jordon Shaw recorded five saves in 77 minutes of action, keeping the Patriots within striking distance against a disciplined CBC side.
