Patriots Fall 2–0 at Harris-Stowe in AMC Road Match

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — October 11, 2025
Mission University men's soccer dropped a 2–0 result to Harris-Stowe State University on Saturday afternoon at Lou Fusz Athletic Complex, as the Hornets scored once in each half to secure the conference victory.

How It Happened

Harris-Stowe opened the scoring in the 18th minute, when Jovan Momic netted his fourth goal of the year to give the Hornets an early advantage.
Mission generated more attacking pressure after halftime, recording five shots in the second half and earning two corner kicks, but could not find the breakthrough.

The Hornets doubled their lead in the 80th minute, as Samuel Guerrero scored off an assist from Kyle Nicholls to make it 2–0, which held as the final.

By the Numbers

Mission finished with six total shots, led by Kauan Amaro and Andrey Smolin with two apiece. Austin Miller and Matthew Santamaria each added one.
Goalkeeper Jordon Shaw recorded seven saves on nine shots on goal while playing all 90 minutes in net.

The Patriots were whistled for nine fouls and received one yellow card (Daniel Williams, 38th minute). Harris-Stowe outshot Mission 27–6 and held a 3–2 edge in corner kicks.
