Springfield, Missouri- The Patriots got off to a slow start Thursday night and could never get back in front. The Patriots gave up a 12-3 run to start the game. Missouri Baptist shot 58% from 3 in the first half where Peyton Golightly found himself able to score 9 points in the first half. The Patriots found themselves down 25 at the 6-minute mark of the first half. The Patriots then found their stroke from 3 with a couple of 3's by Ryder Williams. MU fought its way all the way back to within 15 at the half. 

The Patriots came out the 2nd half with a run trying to get back into striking distance with some big baskets from Eli'jah Smith and Jaquese Thomas. Just 5 minutes into the 2nd half the Pats were only down 9. But the Spartans countered with a 9-0 run of their own. This would put the game out of reach for MU.  

Highlights 

• Jaquese Thomas would lead the team in scoring with 18 points and 3 rebounds. 

• Eli'Jah Smith would have 10 points along with 7 assists.
