Springfield, Missouri- The Patriots got off to a great start getting out to a 4-point lead in the first 5 minutes of the game. The game would be very close for most of the first half behind Jacques Thomas who had 7 points in just the first half. Then with about 8 minutes left in the first half turnovers began to hurt the Patriots. The Owls would go up by 27 at the end of the first half. 

The Patriots tried to fight back in the 2nd half but with a bench that was shortened they could not get the lead back under 20 even behind an 11-point night from Ryder Williams. 

Highlights 

• Ryder Williams would lead the game in scoring with 11 points and have an impressive 7 rebounds against an athletic William Woods team. 

• Sebastian Gahse shot a perfect 2 for 2 from the field as well as having 2 blocks. 

• Jacques Thomas would contribute 6 rebounds for the Patriots.
