Springfield, Missouri- The Patriots got off to a hot start to begin the game going up 8 early on behind Quinn Kusgen's 8 points in just the first 5 minutes of the game. The Hornets then made a counterattack. The Hornets ended up coming all the way back and taking a 4-point lead halfway into the first half. 

Then with 8:35 left in the first half things got really chippy. There was an altercation that ended in the entire MU bench being ejected for leaving the bench area. This left the Patriots with 5 players for the rest of the game. This sparked the Patriots and helped them make a run and have a 4-point lead going into the break. 

The game would go back and forth until Kevin Sorrells Jr. got hot from the corner hitting back-to-back 3's from the same corner. This would end the Hornets' chance at making a comeback as the Patriots defense held the Hornets to 21% from the 3-point line.

• Jaquese Thomas would lead the Patriots in scoring with 21 points.  

• Eli'jah Smith and Sebastian Gahse would both record double doubles (Eli'jah Smith 15 points and 11 rebounds; Sebastian Gahse with 13 points and 10 rebounds.)
