BBC lets one get away in extra innings to Trinity International University

Location-  (USA Stadium) Millington, Tennessee
Springfield, Missouri-  The Patriots began strong, pushing seven runs across in the first four innings.  The Trojans scored two runs in the top half of the second inning, but BBC countered with three of their own in the bottom half.  Dylan Blehm got it started when he singled.  Kam Grant walked, then Haden Parton reached on an error by the TIU third baseman, which scored Blehm.  Grant and Parton then pulled off a double steal.  Jayton Cromer singled to knock in both to make it 3-2, BBC.  In the bottom of the third inning Logan Crum singled with one out.  Grant Merryman pinch-ran for Crum.  Blehm then walked with two outs.  Merryman and Blehm executed another double steal to have runners be on second and third for the Patriots.  Grant doubled both runners in, then Parton followed that up with an RBI single, 6-2 BBC.  In the bottom of the fourth, Cromer singled, stole second, and then moved to third on a Tate Wheeler lineout to centerfield.  Logan Richards then singled Cromer in, 7-2 BBC.  The Trojans countered with three tallies in the top of the fifth inning, a single score in the sixth, and then tied the game at 7-7 with a run in the top of the seventh inning.  The Patriots bats were silent in the fifth through seventh inning forcing extra play.  In the top half of the eighth inning, TIU erupted with five runs.  Though BBC countered with two of their own in the bottom half, the game ended in a 12-9 BBC loss.  Parton was placed on second base in the bottom of the eighth and then with one out Cromer was hit by a pitch to give BBC a runner on first and second.  T. Wheeler singled and both runners scored on a fielding error by TIU.
