Coach Robertson joined the Men’s Basketball staff during the summer of 2023 and has been working with players during open gym as school begins. He comes to Mission University with extensive coaching experience at several levels. He has worked with the Boys and Girls Club with organizing and running leagues of various sports, as well as coordinating activities for all age groups. Coach Robertson began working at the Boys and Girls Club January of 2020, during the beginning of the tumultuous operating time and conditions during COVID. Coach Robertson has earned valuable experience as part of the coaching staff of Missouri Flight AAU Basketball. His duties have included individual workouts, training sessions, as well as coaching teams ages 6-18. To add to his work load, Tyler has been working with the Strafford Youth Leagues in much of the same capacity as he has Missouri Flight. Coach Robertson enjoys the organizational side of sports as much as the ‘in the trenches’ coaching of young athletes.
Coach Robertson played basketball while attending Missouri Valley College and then found his way to Mission, as it was called at the time, to play basketball. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Missouri State University in Science Parks and Recreational Management-Sports Administration.
