Coach Burns graduated from Bolivar High School, Bolivar, Missouri, then took his baseball career to Crowder College in Neosho, Missouri. From Crowder, Coach Burns transferred to Evangel University to play, as well as earn his Bachelor's Degree in Math Education.
Coach Burns' coaching experience includes being an assistant as well as pitching coach, for Springfield Catholic High School and Stockton High School. Besides coaching baseball for those two schools, Coach Burns has been a coach for the Midwest Nationals Scout Team for 8 years and is now High School Director for Marucci Midwest and the US Nationals MidSouth Baseball programs. He works with the student athletes who are pursuing their dream to play college baseball at an elite level.
Coach Burns is married to Madison Burns. They have two sons, Colton, age 3, and Easton, 1 month old as of September.
