Patriots Split with Haskell, Highlighted by Game One Offensive Explosion

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Mission University Softball split a non-conference doubleheader with Haskell Indian Nations University on Tuesday, earning a 10–2 run-rule victory in game one before falling 3–0 in game two at Cooper Sports Complex.

Game One: Mission 10, Haskell 2 (5 innings)

The Patriots came out swinging in the opener, using a big first inning to set the tone in a 10–2 run-rule win.

Mission plated four runs in the first, highlighted by a bases-clearing triple from Hailey Presley that brought home three runs. Presley finished with a huge day at the plate, driving in five RBIs.

The offense stayed aggressive throughout, totaling 10 hits while taking advantage of Haskell miscues and timely hitting. Apryl Zeno and Kloe Hendrickson added RBIs, while multiple Patriots contributed to a balanced offensive attack.

In the circle, Hailey Presley also earned the win, going five innings while allowing two runs and striking out four.

Game Two: Haskell 3, Mission 0

Game two turned into a pitcher's duel, with Haskell capitalizing on key moments to secure a 3–0 victory.

Mission managed five hits in the contest, including a double from Maddie Good, but struggled to string together offense against Haskell's pitching.

Kate Potter went the distance in the circle, allowing three runs while keeping the Patriots within striking distance throughout.
