Baseball Patriots drop tough loss in playoff with College of the Ozarks

Location: College of the Ozarks (Bob Smith Field) Point Lookout, Missouri
                 Results:  College of the Ozarks 3, Mission University 2
              
Ozark, Missouri: For seven inning the teams went scoreless, with few actual scoring threats. The College of the Ozarks Bobcats got on the score board first in the top of the eighth inning as they scored three runs, all unearned, because of a fielding error by the Patriots.  The Patriots were able to counter in the bottom of the eighth inning to pull within 3-2.  In the bottom of the eighth, Ian Brown drew a leadoff walk.  After a Patriot out was made, Carter Vienhage launched a drive over the left field fence for a two-run homer.  Unfortunately, that would be the only major threat the Patriots would mount. Josh Buxton was the hard luck losing pitcher.                      Next Up:
The Patriots wait to see if they might earn an At-Large bid to the NCCAA World Series.
