Ozark, Missouri: The Patriots waited three innings before they came alive, and when they did the fireworks started. The Patriots scored 29 runs on 28 hits in the first two games of the four-game series with Williams Baptist University's Eagles. In the opener, the Eagles drew first blood when they scored a single run in the bottom of the second inning. The Pats countered with three runs in the top half of the third inning.
Tate Wheeler singled to right field.
Landon Richards, who ended up having a monster day, hit a two run homer to right field. After the Patriots made an out,
Dylan Blehm singled to deep second base.
Sam Golden followed with a base on balls.
Kyle Langford came in as a courtesy runner for Golden. After a second Patriot out,
Carter Vienhage singled to center to drive in Blehm, 3-1 MU. Mission add two more runs in the top of the fifth inning, both after two outs had been recorded, Collin Miser pinch hit and reached on an error by the first baseman. He made it to second base on a wild pitch while Vienhage was batting. Vienhage ended up drawing a walk.
Grant Merryman also drew a base on balls to load the bases.
Drew Vaughn then pinch hit singled to the deep shortstop position which ended up scoring Vienhage and Miser. The Eagles bounced back to tie the game with a big four run, fifth inning. Fortunately, the Patriots scored four of their own in the top of the sixth inning to lead 9-5. After one out,
Trey Mulholland walked. Blehm singled to right pushing Mulholland to third base. Golden followed with a sacrifice fly RBI to right field. Zach Stenger came in to run for Blehm. C.J. Miser pinch hit, lacing a double to left field that drove in Stenger. Vienhage singled to center to score Miser. Vienhage then stole second base. Merryman joined Vienhage on the bases when he was walked. Both runners moved up a base on a wild pitch as
Ryan Free was pinch hitting. Free walked, then all runners moved up on another wild pitch, scoring Vienhage. Three more Patriot runs were added in the seventh inning for the final 12-5 score as WBU had no rebuttal. In the seventh, Richards started it off with a single to center. Kaeden Thompson came in to run for Richards. Thompson was then forced out at second base on a grounder by Mulholland. Blehm moved Mulholland over to second with a single to center. Golden hit a hard shot at third base that was too hot to handle; getting a single to load the bases. Langford came in again as a courtesy runner for Golden. Mulholland was then knocked in by a single from Miser. Blehm scored next when Vienhage drew a RBI walk. The final run came when Merryman hit a sacrifice fly to left that scored Langford for a RBI.

In the second game, the Patriots' bats came alive for 15 hits and 17 runs. The Patriots got on the scoreboard first, tallying a single run in the top of the first inning. That run came courtesy of a
Landon Richards leadoff homerun over the right field fence. The Patriots added three more runs in the top of the third inning. After a Patriot out,
Trey Mulholland hit a solo shot over the left field fence.
Dylan Blehm followed with a single to right.
Sam Golden pushed Blehm to third base when he singled up the middle. C.J. Miser drew a walk to load the bases.

Grant Merryman singled to center, which brought in both Blehm and Golden. The Eagles strung together three hits in the bottom of the third inning to score their first run, to pull within, 4-1. A big fourth inning for Mission, proved to be the difference as they played eight runs to push the advantage to 12-1.
Tate Wheeler led off the fourth with a home run to right field. Richards then hit his second home run of the game, third of the day, to left field. Mulholland doubled to center field. Mulholland moved over to third on a ground out by Blehm. Golden then reached on a fielder's choice as the Eagle defense tried to throw out Mulholland, but failed. After a second Mission out,
Carter Vienhage walked. Merryman loaded the bases with a walk himself. WBU made a pitching change next. The new pitcher then walked in a run when
Ryan Free drew a base on balls. Wheeler was then hit by a pitch to drive in another MU run. Finally Richards hit a double to center that scored all three runners; Merryman, Free, and Wheeler. The Eagles scored their last run in the bottom of the fourth inning to get within 12-2. Mission added another five runs in the fifth inning to lead 17-2. Blehm doubled to center, then he moved to third base on a wild pitch. Golden drove him in with a double to center. Two Patriot outs then occurred. Merryman singled to right making it runners at the corners. Consecutive wild pitches by the Eagles allowed Golden to score and moving Merryman to third base. Free was then walked. Wheeler singled Merryman in with a nice hit to left. Richards singled to left to score Wheeler. Mulholland finished the scoring with a single to center that drove in Free. The Eagles never really threatened after that.
