Mission University women's volleyball fell in straight sets on the road Tuesday night at Southwest Baptist University, dropping a 3–0 decision (25–19, 25–15, 25–15) inside the Meyer Sports Center.
The Bearcats controlled the match with consistent hitting, while the Patriots battled through each frame but couldn't find enough rhythm offensively to extend the contest.
How It Happened
Mission hung close early in the first set before SBU used a late 6–1 run to close out the opener. The Patriots struggled to convert in the second and third, finishing with 24 kills and a .049 team hitting percentage.
Patriot Leaders
Allie Czachowski led Mission with 11 kills and added a block assist for a team-high 11.0 points. Shelby Evanscontributed five kills, while Cora Duit added three. Hannah Maxwell set the tone defensively with 10 digs and led the passing attack with 21 assists.
As a team, Mission totaled 40 digs, 22 assists, and eight block assists in the loss.
