SPRINGFIELD, Missouri- The Patriots missed their first ten field goal attempts allowing the Bobcats to establish a 9-0 lead in the first five minutes of the contest. BBC made several small runs in the first half, but each was met by College of the Ozarks. The Patriots were able to pull within 29-37 with 1:51 remaining in the first half, but the Bobcats responded to work the clock down, nail a three-pointer, and then prevent the Patriots from having a good look just before the half. The result was a 40-29 C. of O. lead at intermission. Again the Patriots began a half with cool shooting. When the Bobcats scored on consecutive possessions to take a 58-44 lead, BBC was forced to take a timeout. Despite their best efforts, the Patriots could not close the gap, in fact, it worsened to 80-60 with 4:30 to go in the contest. BBC went on a 10-2 run, thanks in part to back-to-back treys by
Justin Wormell, to get within 82-70 with 2:21 remaining. The Patriots, however, could only get as close as the final 11 point margin the rest of the way. For the game, C. of O. shot 50 percent from the field compared to just 38 percent by the Patriots.
