Springfield, Missouri- The Patriots were first on the score board for the fourth game in a row. In the second inning, the Patriots began the scoring when Kam Grant singled to center field. Grant then advanced to second on a passed ball.
Haden Parton then doubled to score Grant.
Grant Merryman singled to left field to move Parton to third.
Jayton Cromer then grounded out to second base, which scored Parton. Neither team scored until the Owls pushed three runs across in the bottom of the fourth inning to take a 3-2 lead. It wasn't until the top of the sixth inning that the Patriots were able to tie the contest at 3-3.
Drew Wheeler started the inning off with a single to left field. Grant grounded to first base to forced D. Wheeler at second base. Parton singled to center field to push Grant to second base. After a second out, Cromer singled to left field which drove in the tying run (Grant).
Josh Buxton had pitched fairly well through six innings giving up just four hits, including a three-run homer in the fourth. However, an error in the bottom of the seventh ruined his outing.
