Springfield, Missouri- The Patriots fell behind 1-0 after the second inning, but bounced right back in their half of the inning to plate two runs to take the lead for good.
Landry Delgado began the action in the bottom of the second by reaching on a line-drive single.
Carter Vienhage followed that up by being hit by a pitch.
Elijah Nadurata ground into a fielder's choice, pushing Delgado on the third base.
Jayton Cromer laced a 2 run RBI single to give the Patriots the lead. The Warriors had several opportunities to tie the contest over the next five innings, but all were quashed by good defense and pitching that kept the batters off-balance. The Patriots added another run in the fifth inning. The inning looked real promising when
Sam Golden led off with a triple. Unfortunately, he was gunned down at the plate while trying to score a batter later.
Haden Parton then reached base on a hit by pitch. After a ground out moved Parton into scoring position, Delgado hit a single that scored Parton.
Jackson Vestal went the distance, 7 innings, giving up 1 run (earned) on just five hits.
