SPRINGFIELD, Missouri- The Patriots struggled on both ends of the hardwood in the first half against the C. of O. Bobcats. College of the Ozarks had a nice inside game that allowed them to pull away for a double-digit lead much of the last part of the opening half. The Patriots, down by as many as 14 with 1:18 remaining, rallied enough to get the deficit down to nine points, 48-39, when the first half ended. The Patriots chipped away at the deficit with long-range shooting from their corps of guards, and finally gained a slight lead, 2 to 4 points, with a couple of minutes remaining in regulation. The Bobcats rallied this time and managed to tie the game 76-76 with :21 to go. The Patriots worked the ball to try to have the last shot, but turned the ball over with :04 to go. Fortunately for the Patriots, the Bobcats failed to score as time ran out. In the Overtime period, C. of O. struck first with a three-pointer. The Patriots went to work and
Nick Coble made a jumper to cut the lead down to 79-78.
Lawson Beem converted two free throws with 3:41 left in overtime to give BBC an 80-79 advantage. After a C. of O. miss and subsequent foul,
Tre Minton canned a pair of throws to make it 82-79 at the 2:57 mark. The Bobcats never recovered, even trailing by as many as 7 with :19 to go.
Justin Wormell was a spark off the bench as he netted six treys during the game, many in key rally situations.
