Baptist Bible College Patriots come back from a nine point halftime deficit to defeat College of the Ozarks in overtime

Final Score:  Baptist Bible College 91, College of the Ozarks 85, in Overtime
Location:  BBC (W.E. Dowell Fieldhouse) Springfield, Missouri
SPRINGFIELD, Missouri- The Patriots struggled on both ends of the hardwood in the first half against the C. of O. Bobcats.  College of the Ozarks had a nice inside game that allowed them to pull away for a double-digit lead much of the last part of the opening half.  The Patriots, down by as many as 14 with 1:18 remaining, rallied enough to get the deficit down to nine points, 48-39, when the first half ended.  The Patriots chipped away at the deficit with long-range shooting from their corps of guards, and finally gained a slight lead, 2 to 4 points, with a couple of minutes remaining in regulation. The Bobcats rallied this time and managed to tie the game 76-76 with :21 to go.  The Patriots worked the ball to try to have the last shot, but turned the ball over with :04 to go.  Fortunately for the Patriots, the Bobcats failed to score as time ran out.  In the Overtime period, C. of O. struck first with a three-pointer.  The Patriots went to work and Nick Coble made a jumper to cut the lead down to 79-78.  Lawson Beem converted two free throws with 3:41 left in overtime to give BBC an 80-79 advantage.  After a C. of O. miss and subsequent foul, Tre Minton canned a pair of throws to make it 82-79 at the 2:57 mark.  The Bobcats never recovered, even trailing by as many as 7 with :19 to go.  Justin Wormell was a spark off the bench as he netted six treys during the game, many in key rally situations.
