U.S. Ballpark - After the first pitch was thrown by the President of Baptist Bible College, Dr. Mark Milioni, Patriot Baseball was officially back and Opening Day for the spring 2022 season was underway.
It wasn't without its challenges, though, as the Patriots faced off against the Eagles of Oklahoma Wesleyan University, who entered Monday's doubleheader with a record of 3-0, and was selected as the #9 NAIA team in the nation after the Preseason Coaches' Poll.
It was the bottom of the 6th inning (Game 1) when
Jake Johnson grounded out to first, earning an RBI & granting
Haden Parton the honor of being the first to score a run in this new iteration of Patriot Baseball.
Baptist Bible ended the day with a record of 0-2. They look ahead to a doubleheader on Friday vs. Columbia College.
