Coach Raul Nuñez currently serves as the Head Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Mission University, where he brings a passionate, player-first approach to developing student-athletes on and off the court. With a coaching philosophy grounded in hard work, discipline, and personal connection, he is known for fostering growth, accountability, and competitive excellence in every athlete he mentors.

A proud alumnus of Oklahoma Panhandle State University, Nuñez combines his collegiate playing and coaching experience with a strong commitment to holistic player development. He is deeply involved in the day-to-day operations of the program—from skills training and scouting to academic support and program administration.

Prior to his role at Mission University, he served as the Interim Head Coach at Choctaw High School, where he led the team with integrity and vision during a transitional period. His leadership at Choctaw further solidified his reputation as a coach who can step up, lead effectively, and keep athletes motivated through change.
