Mission University is excited to announce the appointment of Josh Ganson as the Head Coach of its inaugural Women’s Soccer Program, set to kick off in the 2026–2027 season. With a wealth of experience spanning collegiate athletics, youth sports development, and leadership training, Ganson brings a seasoned and inspiring presence to Mission University’s athletic department during this exciting period of growth.
Coach Ganson’s coaching résumé includes head coaching roles at William Woods University and William Penn University, as well as assistant coaching positions at Missouri State University, Nichols College, New England College, and Graceland University—his alma mater. Over more than a decade in collegiate coaching, he has built a reputation for cultivating competitive programs grounded in discipline, teamwork, and strong character development.
Before joining Mission University, Ganson served as Athletic Director of Operations at Springfield Upstart Athletics, where he led strategic planning, curriculum innovation, and coach mentorship for a wide-reaching youth soccer initiative. His leadership extended beyond the pitch, shaping player development models and fostering community-based programming that emphasized both skill and personal growth.
Throughout the 2025–2026 academic year, Coach Ganson will focus on recruiting the first class of student-athletes to represent Mission University on the field. His goal is to establish a program that reflects Mission’s values—spiritual foundation, academic excellence, and athletic integrity—while competing at a high level within the collegiate landscape.
