Ozark, Missouri: The Patriots had the bats swinging and the wind was blowing as they finished off a four-game sweep of the Harris-Stowe State University Hornets.  In the opener, an explosive 11 run first inning gave starting pitcher Jude Tenny a great start.  The game began with Landon Richards singling to center field.  Trey Mulholland followed with a single in deep shortstop.  Brennan Montgomery helped load the bases by drawing a walk.  Richards came in to score when Dylan Blehm reached on an error by the third baseman.  Sam Golden came to the plate next and delivered with a grand slam to left field.  Ian Brown doubled down the left field line.  Still with no outs, Grant Merryman was next with his own double to left field, scoring Brown.  Carter Vienhage drew a base on balls.  Tate Wheeler picked up the next RBI as he singled to left center, bringing in Merryman.  The first Patriot out of the game came as a sacrifice fly by Richards to right field, pushing Vienhage across the plate.  While Mulholland was batting again, Wheeler advanced to second base on a passed ball.  Mulholland stroked a single to right that drove in Wheeler.  Montgomery then hit a deep drive over the center field fence for a two-run homer.  The inning finally came to a close with two Patriot outs.  The Hornets did manage two hits in their half of the first inning, but failed to score.  Neither squad scored in the second or third inning.  In the top of the fourth inning, the Patriots scored three runs on just one hit.  Merryman walked, then advanced to second on a wild pitch, then third base on a passed ball.  In the meantime, Vienhage garnered a walk.  Wheeler came to the plate with no outs and promptly hit a deep drive of his own over the center field fence for a three-run homer, 14-0 MU.  Harris-Stowe finally got on the board in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run on three hits.  The Hornets added two more runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, 14-3 MU.  A Patriot pitching change in the bottom of the sixth inning was met harshly by the Hornets as they added five runs, to cut the deficit to 14-8.  The Patriots were able to add a run in the top of the seventh inning to make it 15-8.  After one Patriot was out, Logan Crum was hit by a pitch.  Zach Stenger came in to courtesy run for Crum.  Brown singled, pushing Stenger to second.  After a second MU out took place the runners moved up a base.  Vienhage followed with a single that scored Stenger.  Garrett Hunter came in to pitch in the bottom of the seventh and struck out the side to end the game.

Highlights-             In the second game, the Patriots trailed most of the way, but rallied to force an extra inning, then exploded in the eighth to win the game 9-6.  The Hornets struck first, scoring a single tally in the bottom of the first.  Mission countered with three runs in the top of the second inning.  Dylan Blehm singled to deep second base.  Two Patriots in a row were then retired.  Grant Merryman kept the inning alive when he reached base on an error by the shortstop.  Carter Vienhage then drew a base on balls to load the sacks.  Tate Wheeler picked up an RBI when he was hit by a pitch.  Landon Richards then followed with a two-run single that scored Merryman and Vienhage.  The Hornets were not down long, as they came up with four runs on three hits and two Patriot errors to re-take the lead, 5-3.  Mission stayed close in the top of the third inning, adding another run, this time on just one hit.  Brennan Montgomery pulled the ball down the right field line, but it stayed fair as it went beyond the fence, 5-4 HSSU.  The Hornets added to their lead in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run on three hits to lead 6-4.  The Pats then scratched across a run in the top of the fifth inning without a hit.  Montgomery drew a walk to start the inning.  After a Patriot fly out, Drew Vaughn also drew a base on balls.  The Hornets made a pitching change and Zach Stenger came in to run for Montgomery.  A second Patriot out occurred and the Hornets should have been out of the inning with the next Patriot batter, Merryman, but a throwing error by the second baseman allowed Stenger to come in to score.  Neither team scored again until the top of the seventh inning when the Patriots had to score, or face a loss.  Trailing 6-5, a fielding error by the first baseman on a Montgomery slash proved costly.  Ryan Free came in to pinch run for Montgomery.  Blehm singled hard off of the pitcher to make it first and second with no one out.  Ian Brown hit a deep fly to right which allowed Free to move to third base.  Kyle Langford pinch ran for Blehm next.  C J Miser then hit a fly to center field that was good enough for Free to come in and tie the game.  Garrett Hunter entered the game as the Patriot pitcher to hold the score tied at 6-6.  He worked around an error, but kept the game tied.  In the top of the eighth inning, MU put three runs on the board to take a 9-6 advantage.  All three runs were unearned.  With one out already, Vienhage reached on a fielding error by the right fielder.  The Patriots then made a second out.  Richards kept a rally going with a single to center that scored Vienhage from second base where he had ended up on the previous error.  In the meantime, Richards moved up to second base while the Hornets were trying to get Vienhage out.  Trey Mulholland followed with a run scoring single to center.  Free followed with a double to center field and the Patriots now led 9-6.  The Patriots were retired two players later.  In the bottom of the eighth inning, it was all Garrett Hunter.  He struck out two of the batters, then induced the final batter into a ground out to shortstop.  The come from behind victory was achieved.
