What’s next?

Upcoming games-
The Baseball Patriots swept through the NDAG Regional going undefeated.  The focus now is the upcoming national tournament, the NCCAA World Series.  The tournament gets underway on Friday, May 19 at the Kansas City Urban Youth Academy in downtown Kansas City, Missouri.  The time and opponent will be determined by Tuesday evening.
How's it going-
The Baseball Patriots opened up the NDAG Regional Baseball Tournament at Point Lookout, Missouri on the campus of the College of the Ozarks on Monday, May 8, against the play-in game winner, Randall University.  BBC scored three early runs then relied heavily on the pitching of Josh Buxton and Trenton Viviano in relief.  Fortunately, the Patriots prevailed 3-1.  On Tuesday, May 9, the team had to come from behind to defeat Dallas Christian College, 8-6, to set up a match Wednesday against Champion Christian College in the winner's bracket final.  BBC exploded offensively, scoring in every inning on the way to an easy 27-3 victory.  College of the Ozarks, upset in the first round, played their way through the loser's bracket to face BBC for the title.  If C. of O. won the first game, Friday, May 12, then the two squads would turn around and play again.  The Patriots took a 1-0 lead in the first inning.  The Bobcats tied the game 1-1 in the top of the second inning.  Neither team scored until the bottom of the fifth inning when the Patriots broke through with a run, 2-1.  The Bobcats managed to tie the game in the top of the ninth, then scored the go ahead run, 3-2, before the Patriots could retire them.  Fortunately, that would be all the Bobcats would get after having runners in scoring position with just one out.  Down by a run, the Patriots immediately started a rally in the bottom of the ninth.  Dylan Blehm hit a sacrifice fly to tie the game, then Kam Grant came through with a single up the middle to win the game, 4-3, thus assuring themselves of a spot in the World Series.
Who's New!
The Basketball Lady Patriots announce that Tafv Harjo a junior transfer from Randall University will be joining the squad next season.  Harjo also hopes to compete for a spot on the Women's Soccer team next Fall.
The Baseball Patriots have added another recruit, Nate Owen, a senior from Kickapoo High School in Springfield.  Owen has been a consistent pitcher for the Chiefs as well as an infielder.
The Soccer Patriots are excited to announce three new recruits for the Men's soccer program.  Joining the squad are Matthew Santamaria, Isaac Santoya, and Anthony Ebale.  Santamaria is an incoming freshman who played right back and left back for St. Joseph by the Sea High School in Staten Island, New York.  Incoming freshman Santoya, played center midfielder and striker at Riverside High School of El Paso, Texas.  Anthony Ebale, also an incoming freshman, is transferring from St. Charles Community College.  While in high school Ebale played right back, left back, and striker.
