Oakland City scored two in the top of the second inning to make it 4-2. The Patriots were able to tie the game in the bottom of the third inning, 4-4. Richards led off the inning with a windswept deep drive that the centerfielder lost track of, resulting in a triple. He scored two pitches later on a wild pitch. Blehm singled. Parton reached first base on an error by the shortstop. Kam Grant moved Blehm over to third base with a fly out to right.
Jayton Cromer followed that up with a single to score Blehm and move Parton to second base. Unfortunately, that would be all they could do in that inning.
The Patriots took the lead for good in the fourth inning.

BBC erupted for 7 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to lead 12-4. Parton was hit by a pitch, then pinch ran for by

The Mighty Oaks scored five to get back into the game in the top of the sixth inning to make it 12-9. BBC responded by scoring a run in the bottom half of the sixth. OCU should have been out of the inning as the pitcher fielded what should have been out number three from T. Wheeler, but he threw the ball into Stone County allowing T. Wheeler to go all the way to third base. Richards singled him home, 13-9 BBC.
