Springfield, Missouri-  The Spartans scored early and often as they ran away with an 11-1 victory over Baptist Bible College to win two of the three games against the Patriots.  Missouri Baptist scored an unearned run in the first inning.  The Spartans added two runs in the second inning, then three more in the top of the third inning to take a commanding 6-0 lead.  More Missouri Baptist scoring came with single tallies in the fifth and sixth innings to make it 8-0.  Finally, the Patriots got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the seventh inning.  Sam Golden led off the inning with a triple and was pinch run for by Kyle Brattin.  After an infield pop-up resulted in an out, Drew Wheeler knocked in the lone Patriots' run by grounding out to second base allowing Brattin to cross the plate.  Missouri Baptist scored two more in the top of the eighth and added an eleventh run in the ninth inning for the final 11-1 score.  The Patriots used four pitchers, but gave up 15 hits to the Spartans.  Missouri Baptist's pitcher went the distance for a complete game victory while scattering six hits.
